# Genie plans: Starter, Genie, Teams, and Enterprise

> Every Genie plan includes the same features. Choose based on how many credits you need and whether you want a custom domain or team workspace.

Genie offers four plan tiers — Starter, Genie (with four credit levels), Teams, and Enterprise. The difference between plans comes down to how many credits you get each month, how many projects you can create, and whether you can link your own domain. Every paid plan includes the full Genie feature set.

## What each plan includes

    Starter is free and a good way to explore Genie before committing to a paid plan.

    * **35 credits per month**, with a limit of 7 credits per day
    * **Up to 3 projects**
    * A unique Genie link for each project (e.g. `yourapp.genie.app`)
    * Genie branding displayed on your projects
    * Genie Cloud basic (hosting and database included)

      Starter projects display Genie branding and cannot be connected to a custom domain. Upgrade to a paid plan to remove branding and link your own domain.

    The Genie tier is for individuals who want a professional setup with their own domain. Choose the credit level that fits your usage.

    * **100–600 credits per month** depending on variant (no daily cap)
    * **Unlimited projects**
    * Link to your own custom domain
    * No Genie branding on your projects
    * Purchase additional credits at any time
    * Full Genie Cloud (hosting, database, auth, and storage)
    * German-language email support

    The four Genie variants — Genie, Genie Plus, Genie Pro, and Genie Ultra — are identical in features. They differ only in how many credits you receive each month.

    Teams is designed for businesses and organisations that need shared workspaces, seat-based billing, access control, and data compliance guarantees.

    * Everything in Genie, plus:
    * **Dedicated workspaces** with roles and permissions for your team
    * **Seat-based billing** — a flat monthly workspace fee plus a per-seat fee for each teammate. Every seat gets the full credit allowance for your chosen tier (Genie, Plus, Pro, or Ultra).
    * **EU data residency** — your data never leaves the EU
    * **GDPR compliant**, fully enterprise-grade
    * Your data is never used for AI training
    * Support via email, WhatsApp, phone, and Slack

      Start a Teams subscription from **Settings → Billing** inside an existing workspace, or choose "for my team" from the [pricing page](https://genie.app/pricing) to create a new workspace at the same time. You choose how many seats to buy up front — a workspace can never have more active members than purchased seats — and workspace owners or admins can add or remove seats at any time from the Billing tab. Freeing a seat by removing a member doesn't reduce your bill automatically; lower the seat count yourself when you no longer need it.

## Choosing the right plan

    Start on the **Starter** plan. It costs nothing and lets you build up to three projects to see how Genie works for you.

    Move to **Genie** or **Genie Plus** when you need a custom domain, no branding, and more room to build.

    **Genie Pro** or **Genie Ultra** suit power users generating and updating apps frequently. You can also top up credits on any paid plan.

    **Teams** adds workspace management, role-based access, and EU compliance for business use.

## Upgrading or changing your plan

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from **Settings → Billing** inside Genie. When you upgrade, you move to the new plan immediately and your billing period resets. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

  Annual billing is available for all paid plans and works out cheaper than paying monthly. You can switch between monthly and annual from the pricing page or your billing settings.
