Your account settings control personal preferences that apply to your Genie experience across all workspaces and devices.
Looking for your name, contact email, or avatar instead? Those live on the separate Account profile page.

Opening account settings

If you’re inside a workspace, click the account row at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Personal settings. Elsewhere in Genie, click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select Settings. Either way, both your workspace settings and your personal settings share the same navigation, so the other is always one click away.

Display preferences

Dark mode

Toggle Dark mode on or off to switch between the light and dark Genie interface. Your choice syncs across all devices signed in to your account — switch on desktop and your mobile experience updates automatically.
Dark mode is a personal preference and does not affect how your published app looks to your users.

Push notifications

Genie can send you push notifications on this device — for example when a build finishes, fails, or needs your attention. Manage them from the Notifications section:
  • Enable notifications on this device — turns on push notifications for the browser or device you’re currently using. Your browser will ask you to confirm permission the first time.
  • Your devices — lists every device you’ve enabled notifications on, so you can see where you’ll be notified.
  • Send a test notification — sends a sample notification to confirm delivery is working before you rely on it.
  • Turn off — disables notifications for the current device only; other devices you’ve enabled aren’t affected.
Notification permission is per-device and per-browser. If you use Genie on your phone and your laptop, enable notifications separately on each.

Linked sign-ins

If you sign in a new way — your company turns on single sign-on, or you use a different login method than before — and it matches the verified email on your existing account, Genie automatically links the new sign-in method to that account instead of creating a separate, empty one. You land in your normal account with everything already there, no action needed. Account Settings shows a Linked sign-ins list of every way you can currently sign in, each with an Unlink option if you want to remove one.
